Child & Adolescent Psychotherapy

Even children and teenagers can have psychological issues that require the support of therapy, and it is especially important to get help in order to prevent a psychological disorder from getting worse. Children can have anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, social difficulties, anger management, and more, and many children will not just “grow-out” of these issues.

Sometimes treatment is best conceptualized as weekly individual therapy, and other times a combination of parent guidance and individual treatment is indicated. Parent guidance is a treatment modality that helps strengthen parenting skills. In some situations, family therapy is recommended, which would include all family members.
